POTOLDANGIR MELA – THE LOST BROTHERS

Dablu and Tablu were twin brothers. Their father, Binkurula Box was an honest police officer and his AIM IN LIFE was to exterminate the (in)famous international heroine smuggler Jobbor Ali (Kalibali). Jobbor Ali had a multi-millon dollar business so he wanted to buy off Inspector Binkurula with a 1 Crore Tk. bribe. But Inspector Binkurula refused this saying that, ‘Khobordar Kalibali Shaheb !!!! Amake apni poisha diye kenar cheshta korben na … Amar Kachhe Onek Proman Achhe Ebong Ami Shighroi Shobar Shamne Apnar Eyee Mukhosh Khule Dibo………. ’

Surely Kalibali couldn’t let this happen and he planned to vanish Inspector Binkurula out of the face of this world.

The next day was Potoldangir Mela and Inspector Binkurula went to the fair with his wife Jorina Box and their two twelve year old sons Dablu and Tablu. They were singing :

Kalibali’s men had attacked and they were going to kill Inspector Binkurula today no matter what. He hid his family in a small tent and fought bravely, single handed with the 30 odd men that were attacking him. He eventually succumbed to death, but not before killing 27 of his opponents. Somehow or other, the 3 other members of the family get detached.

Jorina Box is taken prisoner by Kalibali…..
Dablu is brought up by Kalibali and is made a dangerous Gunda (but he never gets to meet his mom…..)
Tablu goes to a fisherman’s house who brings him up to be a police officer…

12 yrs later…….
By the turn of events, both the brothers unite(mainly by the virtue of the song) and they decide to take vengeance on Kalibali…..

Who’ll win the battle? Kalibali or the brothers?
